Christian LaCroix for Gola

Christian LaCroix, a famed French couture designer, has teamed up with Gola to create some of the prettiest sneaks known to man (at least in 2008). He is known to be experimental, using fantasy and bright colors to create his garments. I love the fact that he crossed over from high fashion to create something that can be worn on the streets of NYC or L.A.

Take a look...
Available in January 2009, from $250

No one on the corner has swagger like...

Keana P. aka Karrie B. aka Keyonce aka KeKe!!!

She is the homie of one of my nearest and dearest, and has grown to be one of my BFFs. I call her my sister...she's always there for me, even though she HUNDREDS of miles away. This girl has got more style than you could ever imagine, and she does it all so effortlessly. She is a hard-working young woman who has zero-tolerance for B.S.

Any girl would be lucky to have her as a friend and any guy would be lucky to even have her look your way. Presenting, Karrie B.....

(P.S.--check out her FABULOUS blog at karrieb.blogspot.com)

FUNNiEST SH*T EVERRRRRRR

This has NOTHING to do with fashion, just thought I'd share!!!!!!!!!!
I love when he's like "I'm ok, I'm ok..."

She said, "I want stardom too!"

I admit, I've been SLEEPING on the "other" Knowles sister: Solange. I always thought she was the annoying little sister who wanted shine just for being Be's family. But ol' babe actually has a nice voice! And she's so darn cute and jazzy!

Her new LP "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" features her first single of 2008 ("I Decided") and other old-school inspired goodies. Cop it (or illegally download it at your own risk) ASAP!!!

Thanks to my BFF Kyle Marissa for putting me on "Sandcastle Disco". It most definitely jams dear!

Unkommon Artistry

So, I'm kind of in love with anybody who can draw, paint, sketch, etc. better than me! (Which is not hard at all, sadly). If you're in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, I'm sure you've heard of the talented young men of Unkommon Kolor (Blue and Jeremy).
They are two of the most talented boys I've ever met, not being afraid to think outside the box and be innovative.

"Flashy colors, unique designs, & an acute attention to detail, Unkommon Kolor is a Brand like NO other" (stolen from their blog unkommonkolor.blogspot.com).

One of their specialties is customized munny dolls (dolls provided by Kid Robot).

Artists all around the world spend hours painting, sculpting, and putting their finishing touches on these do-it-yourself toys to create something hot. So far the UK boys have done their versions of Barack Obama, a glow in the dark Kanye West, and the Andre 3000 from the 'Rosa Parks' video. Check out the pictures below. Their website should be linked to the pictures, but if not here it is again: unkommonkolor.com

And Jeremy's personal site is vivalapaloma.com

Hit them up!!!!!

Watermelon Democracy

Hola everyone!!!

Sorry about the long hiatus....but ya know, ish happens! Now on to the important stuff:

I'm all about promoting young designers who have something going for themselves. And my friend Darrin Nobles is just that.

His line is coined "Watermelon Democracy", and features some pretty dope designs, if I don't say so myself. Below is a description of the name and pictures of the shirts he plans on cranking out to the masses:

"WATERMELON DEMOCRACY™ is the idea that through the development of our core and strengthening of our outer surface, we can achieve the success, power, and true freedom that we desire.Watermelon represents the hard outer surface while having a rich sweet soul. Just like a ripe Watermelon means its ready and fully prepared, as does a developed Watermelon represent a person fully prepared to take on life's challenges. Democracy symbolizes the power and freedom we should aspire to possess marked by a dedication towards empowering others."

Check out the line's website www.watermelondemocracy.com
...and the MySpace page www.myspace.com/watermelondemocracy

Keep up the good work Darrin....you're going places!!! :)
